General Brewing Basics for Hot and Ice tea. Adjust to your taste.

  • Use one teaspoon of  loose tea per cup of tea. You should be able to get 10-12 teaspoons per ounce of tea.
  • For black tea use boiling water to fully bring out the flavor and brew for 3 to 5 minutes.
  • Prefer that you do not use microwaved water as this takes the oxygen out of the water and flavor will be flat.
  • For ice tea brew with hot water for full flavor and then pour over ice.
