This earthy tea comes from the Yunnan Province in China, which is famous for producing aged tea (pu-erh). Pu-erh is known to aid in digestion and reduce cholestorol levels. It is frequently sipped after meals as a digestif. This tea is a loose one-year (young) Pu-erh and the tea leaves experience the complex process of gradual fermentation and maturation, it can be aged up to 15 years.
