Famous Teas Every Tea Lover Should Try

We are often asked to share recommendations for people new to tea. This is hard because everyone has such different tastes and even our own preferences have evolved over time. But we all agree that all tea drinker should try the teas listed below at least once!

Many of the teas come from different growing regions in China, known as the birth place of tea, but other famous tea-growing regions including Japan, India, and Sri Lanka are also represented. The traditions and production methods in each region, as well as the weather, soil, and geography all play a role in creating so many unique styles of tea, all from one plant, Camellia Sinensis.

These teas represent a variety of some of the most distinctive flavor profiles  Once you've tried each tea, we've included teas that we think are fun to try for a comparison tasting.
